Romolo Design Studio provides highly tailored interior design services for residential projects throughout Perth.

RDS works closely with our clients to ensure clarity of purpose, budget and creative vision. The initial consultation with Romolo is a deep dive into the requirements of the project, the interior ‘wish list’, desired outcomes, budget, timeframe and collaborators (architects, builders etc). Understanding the big picture of the project allows us to get cracking on what we do best; creating tailor–made interiors.

We begin in your home, walking through each space to uncover your aesthetic preferences, pain points, and the atmosphere you want to create. Together, we discuss how you live, entertain, and store. Working from your architect’s floor plan or creating test-fit options of our own, we refine layouts and explore possibilities. A reverse brief and mood board align us on direction. Once approved, we begin initial finish selections and coordinate with your architect or builder to shape the details. An initial project timeline is devised and the concept inspiration comes together.

This is the moment when the interior design concept comes to life. We present our vision for the new interior using 3D renders, floor plans, finishes, the essential details of fixtures, fittings and anything else we believe will allow our clients to see, feel and experience our vision for the new interior. 

This also allows your builder to begin initial pricing and confirm alignment with budget. Regular coordination with your architect ensures architecture and interiors progress seamlessly together.

This is the stage where we take client feedback onboard, developing the design, making tweaks and reselecting finishes as required. We also typically resolve fittings and fixtures selections during this stage. 

If a builder is already involved they may submit a cost review, we then refine as needed. Drawings and schedules are taken to around 70% completion for a second pricing round, keeping the project on budget while refining design intent.

Our studio is meticulous about highly detailed documentation. Once the client has approved the proposed design, we move on to a thorough documentation phase so that the project is ready for final pricing and construction. This is the blueprint from which your home is built. It involves construction documentation alongside equipment, finishes and lighting schedules.

During this stage, we assist with compiling a list of preferred builders [if you don’t already have one] and tradespeople to quote on the project. We help review the quotes and provide recommendations. This is also where we coordinate our drawings with the packages developed by relevant designers or engineers.

During the construction phase, we offer site support to the builder, ensuring a successful result. Our on-site services include site visits, liaison with tradespeople, troubleshooting, shop drawing reviews, workshop visits and quality control.

We source and specify furniture, lighting, and artworks to complete your home’s narrative. Logistics, delivery, and installation are carefully managed, ensuring the curation mirrors our design process; intentional and tailored entirely to you.

From our first conversation to final handover, every detail from layout to finishes and curation is resolved to create a home that is both deeply personal and spatially refined. Now ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.
